What is corona virus?

Corona virus is a group of viruses that affect both animal and human. The word Corona is derived from Latin word ' corona ' meaning crown or hole. This is because of  its physical appearance. Now about 10,049 persons died because of COVID-19 corona virus outbreak and about more than 245,669 persons are affected. This is spread in 149 countries. Almost 88,441 persons are recovered from this epidemic disease.

Sources of corona virus:

Corona virus can be spread by many sources. Following are some sources of corona virus:

It is observed that corona virus is spread by animals. Most prominently this is present in bats urine. Researches have declared that dates sap contain corona virus where bats used to live. Camel also contain corona virus. Recent studies showed that consumption of meat also responsible for this virus. It is also found in snakes according to some Chinese scientists.

The occurrence of corona virus is firstly reported in Wuhan city where seafood are stored in china.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

Diseases caused by corona virus:

There is possibility of causing some diseases to humans related to respiratory system.

1.     It may range from simple cold to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)

2.     It also causes Middle East Respiratory Syndrome

1.     Wash your hands with warm water or with sanitizer.

2.     Cover nose and mouth during sneezing and coughing

3.     Avoid eating raw or under cooked meat products and great care should be done while handling meat and dairy products and prevent them from contacting the cooked and under cooked food items.

4.     Visit doctor if you find any symptoms of cold or sore throat. Medical treatment can inhibit the activity of enzymes that are responsible of virus growth.
