Pathogenic microorganisms
Bacteria, parasites, molds and viruses are known as pathogenic microorganisms and these microorganisms cause various food borne diseases and intoxication
Following are some factors that contribute to food intoxication.
·        Improper handling of food for example handling by an affected person
·        Inadequate cleaning of food
·        Contamination through cutting boards
·        Inadequate cleaning of equipment and utensils
·        Improper cooking of food
·        Improper cooling of food for example cooling at above 10℃ for meat
·        Improper storing of food for example storing of food in large containers in fridge
·        Time difference between food preparation and food consumption
·        Thawing of food
·        Improper reheating
